FRUTTIBOSCO is a small co-oprative in the village of Tarsogno situated high in the Appennine mountains in northern Italy in the province of Parma in northern Italy. It is surrounded by still wild forest of chestnut, Beach and Pine. This natural forest is renowned for the best Porcini (Boletus Edilus) mushrooms in the world, these grow naturally and wild, and are picked by hand trained and certified and licensed collectors.
The co-operative then sorts the mushrooms and dries them befor epacking. Fruttibosco came into being 25 years ago and now has world wide customer base.
Although the main stay of the co-operative is still the Porcino mushroom crop, in the last several years it ahs expanded into preserves in olive oil such as Sun Dried Tomatoes in Olive Oil, and Artichokes in Olive Oil.
Everything is still hand sorted and individually hand jared to maintain the highest quality.
